The R25A Deregistration form has recently been updated to include seperate categories for racing, training and paddock injuries. It is hoped that being able to collect specific data about the type and frequency of injuries to the Standardbred in Australia will allow HRA to better analyse this data and address any issues that may come up. Harness Racing has an examplary record for race track injuries and race day fatalities sit at just 0.005% of starters.
